Cortland County reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, the number of confirmed cases remaining 4,584 for the third consecutive day.
However, one new death was reported.
The number of people who have contracted the virus rose to 15,271 across Cortland, Tomkins and Cayuga counties since the pandemic began in March 2020. One new deaths was reported, the number of people who have died from the virus rising to 208.
The state Health Department has reported that 23,014 Cortland County residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, or 48.1% of the county’s total population and 56.6% of its adults.
A total of 44.2% of the county has been fully vaccinated.
In Tompkins County, 69,000 people have received at least one dose, or 67.1% of the population and 74.9% of its adults; 62.5% are fully vaccinated.
In Cayuga County, 37,694 residents have received at least one dose, or 48.9% of the total population and 57.8% of its adults; 44.6% are fully vaccinated.
Statewide, 11.23 million people have received at least one dose, or 58.3% of the state’s population and 70.4% of its adults; 51% of the total population and 62.3% of adults are fully vaccinated.
