Discount chain Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has announced it will open June 26 at its Riverside Plaza location, the company’s website says.
Company officials could not be reached for comment Friday.
Ollie’s partially fills the space that once housed Ames Department Store, unoccupied since Ames’ closure.
The company’s website says it recently opened its 516th store, with the next one opening in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The company published a summary of its financials for the year’s first financial quarter: Total net sales grew 10% to $508.8 million; net income increased 49.6% to $46.3 million and it opened four new stores.
“Consumers clearly remain under pressure and are seeking value in their purchases,” company CEO John Swygert said in a company report.
