Mary Dexter is not alone in her love of cemeteries and grave stone carvers.

When she attends an Association for Gravestone Studies conference, she meets with like-minded people. The topics they cover: How to do grave preservation; sandstone vs. marble markers; urn or willow shapes on stones; and who are the 1900s-era New England carvers.
