Except for a four-county cluster — Yates, Ontario, Seneca and Wayne — Cortland and every other county in New York was at a low risk of coronavirus spread, the federal government reported late last week.
The four counties to the west of the greater Cortland area were all at a medium risk.
Cortland County had six new cases of COVID-19 between March 30 and Wednesday, giving it a rate of 12.61 cases per 100,000 people, the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports.

Tompkins -- 82,196 have received both shots, or 80.0% of the population; 27.0% are up to date.

Statewide -- 15.38 million have received both shots, or 76.6% of the population; 14.2% are up to date.
