The Homer Central School District Board of Education will have a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. May 14 to hear comments on its proposed 2024-25 budget, followed by its regular board meeting at the Homer Training and Education Center.
The $49,538,835 spending proposal increases spending 5% from this year’s $47,195,532 budget. It comes with a $17,535,266 property tax levy, up 3% from this year’s $17,027,266 levy.
Voters will also decide when they go to the polls May 18 on three three-year school board seats, for which there are five candidates:

•Kevin Mack.
•Emily Olsenwik, an incumbent.
•Stacy Petri.
•KC Slade, an incumbent.
