Cortland reports seven new COVID cases

Cortland County reported seven new cases of COVID-19 Friday, raising the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began to 13,146, the state Health Department reports.

  • Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported 25 new cases Friday, the state reported. The three counties have seen 59,489 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus remains 411.

  •  No new COVID patients were admitted to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center on Thursday, the state Health Department reported Friday. The hospital had two COVID patients. The state Health Department reports 312,922 tests have been administered. The state has reported 134 deaths.

  • Tompkins County saw 12 new cases Friday, the state Health Department reported. The number of confirmed cases rose to 26,204. The state reports 3,069,456 tests have been administered. One hundred Tompkins residents have died.

  •  Cayuga County saw 13 new cases Friday, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,151. The state reports 405,594 tests have been administered, and 177 people have died.
