Cortland reports no new COVID cases for 3rd day

Cortland County reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began rising to 13,649, the state Health Department reports.

Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported six new cases Tuesday, the state reported. The three counties have seen 61,467 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus remains 423.

  • One new COVID patients was admitted Monday to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, and one Friday, the state reported Tuesday. The hospital had seven COVID patients. The state reports 319,534 tests have been administered. The state has reported 136 deaths.

  • Tompkins County saw three new cases Tuesday, the state Health Department reported. The number of confirmed cases rose to 27,048. The state reports 3,079,783 tests have been administered. The county reports 102 residents have died.

  • Cayuga County saw three new cases Tuesday, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,770. The state reports 417,696 tests have been administered, and 185 people have died.
