Cortland reports no new COVID cases for 3rd day

For the third consecutive day, Cortland County reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began remaining 13,647, the state Health Department reports.

Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported three new cases Monday, the state reported. The three counties have seen 61,459 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus remains 423.

  • One new COVID patient was admitted Friday to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, the state reported Sunday. The hospital had three COVID patients. The state reports 319,507 tests have been administered. The state has reported 136 deaths.

  • Tompkins County saw one new case Monday, the state Health Department reported. The number of confirmed cases rose to 27,045. The state reports 3,079,697 tests have been administered. The county reports 102 residents have died.

  • Cayuga County saw two new cases Monday, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,767. The state reports 417,641 tests have been administered, and 185 people have died.
