Cortland reports four new COVID cases

Cortland County has reported four new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began rising to 13,666, the state Health Department reports.

Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported nine new cases Wednesday, the state reported. The three counties have seen 61,551 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus remains 423.

  • No new COVID patients were admitted Tuesday to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, the state reported Wednesday. The hospital had seven COVID patients. The state reports 320,139 tests have been administered. The state has reported 136 deaths.

  • Tompkins County saw seven new cases Wednesday, the state Health Department reported. The number of confirmed cases rose to 27,089. The state reports 3,080,580 tests have been administered. The county reports 102 residents have died.

  • Cayuga County saw two new cases Wednesday, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,796. The state reports 418,732 tests have been administered, and 185 people have died.
