Cortland reports 3 new COVID cases

Cortland County reported three new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began rising to 13,632, the state Health Department reports.

Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported 15 new cases Friday, and two deaths, the state reported. The three counties have seen 61,343 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus has risen to 422.

  • No new COVID patients were admitted Wednesday to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, the state reported Thursday. The hospital had four COVID patients. The state reports 318,814 tests have been administered. The state has reported 136 deaths.

  • Tompkins County saw 10 new cases Friday, the state Health Department reported. The number of confirmed cases rose to 26,982. The state reports 3,078,659 tests have been administered. The county reports 102 residents have died.

  • Cayuga County saw five new cases Friday, and two deaths, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,729. The state reports 416,241 tests have been administered, and 184 people have died.
