Cortland reports 10 new COVID cases

Cortland County reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, raising the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began to 13,432, the state Health Department reports.

Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported 17 new cases Tuesday, and two deaths, the state reported. The three counties have seen 60,637 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus has risen to 416.

  • One new COVID patient was admitted to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center on Feb. 14, the last date for which data are available, the state Health Department reported. The hospital had 11 COVID patients. The state Health Department reports 316,090 tests have been administered. The state has reported 135 deaths.

  • Tompkins County saw 12 new cases Tuesday, the state Health Department reported. The number of confirmed cases rose to 26,670. The state reports 3,074,350 tests have been administered. The county reports 101 residents have died.

  • Cayuga County saw five new cases Tuesday, and two deaths, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,535. The state reports 411,193 tests have been administered, and 180 people have died.
