Cortland reports 1 new COVID case

Cortland County reported one new case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began rising to 13,650, the state Health Department reports.

Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported 14 new cases Wednesday, the state reported. The three counties have seen 61,482 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus remains 423.

  • No new COVID patients were admitted Tuesday to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, the state reported Wednesday. The hospital had seven COVID patients. The state reports 319,573 tests have been administered. The state has reported 136 deaths.

  • Tompkins County saw nine new cases Wednesday, the state Health Department reported. The number of confirmed cases rose to 27,057. The state reports 3,079,871 tests have been administered. The county reports 102 residents have died.

  • Cayuga County saw five new cases Wednesday, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,775. The state reports 417,883 tests have been administered, and 185 people have died.
