Returning champion Dan Cross will join the competitors April 5 for a pancake-eating contest as part of the Central New York Maple Festival in Marathon.
He’ll be raising money for the Marathon Central School Trap Shooters in the 27th annual fundraising event in the Marathon High School auditorium. Joining him will be:
•Glenn Pitcher of WHWK radio, eating for The Bridge Community Center.
•Connie Coppola, a member of Children of the American Revolution, eating for the Stratton VA Medical Center Fisher House.
•Camdyn Kashuba of Marathon Central School, eating for the class of 2026.
•Sam Carlton, eating for the Seven Valley Health Coalition.
•Former champion Patrick Rand eating for the Homer Boys Varsity Wrestling Club.
•Dave Mahoney, eating for The Marathon Lions Club.
•Myron Swarts, eating pancakes for Southern Tier Lyme Support Group.
The pancake eaters are soliciting pledges now. Last year, competitors raised more than $8,000.
