Maple Festival seeks pancake contest competitors

The Central New York Maple Festival seeks to help non-profit organizations and clubs raise money through its pancake breakfast during the festival April 5 and 6.

Contestants with their organization’s membership seek pledges per pancake. The Maple Festival will pledge $2 for every pancake eaten, too. Last year’s contestants raised more than $8,000 in pledges for their sponsors. “It is our way of giving back to those who support us” said festival co-Chair Paige Parker. Ten seats are available at the pancake eating table in the Marathon High School auditorium.

To enter, send a post card or letter to CNY Pancake Eating Contest, P.O. Box 291, Marathon, N.Y. 13803. Include the contestant’s name, address, phone, the sponsoring organization and it’s address, with a contact person and phone number.
