Cortland and Tompkins county residents with an income of $65,000 or less are eligible for free tax preparation offered by Cornell University and the Human Services Coalition at the Tompkins County Public Library.
In-person appointments with IRS-certified tax preparers from Tompkins Area Volunteer Income Assistance Program will be available Feb. 4 through April 15:
•Tuesdays: From noon to 4 p.m.
•Fridays: From 1 to 5 p.m.
•Some Saturdays: Noon to 4 p.m.
Appointments will not be available during Cornell University’s spring break March 29 to April 6.
