The Imagination Celebration showcasing the art of elementary and high school students will be on exhibit from March 24 to April 5 at the Dowd Gallery at SUNY Cortland.
An opening reception will be 5 p.m. March 27 for the elementary exhibit and 6:30 p.m. for the secondary students. It will feature music from the Cortland High School Modern Rock Band class, and more.
The works, selected by 20 educators of fine art, show the achievements students have made in drawing, painting, ceramics, collages, sculpture, digital media and creative arts.
Elizabeth Moshkowski of the Cortland Enlarged City School District and Brookley Abbate of the Homer Central School District were key organizers with the Dowd Gallery, the gallery reports. Other artists include Brian Wallace, Lindsay Haskins, Lauren Nels, Beth Ketchum, Casey Iannuzzi, Carly Fowler, Jesse Bender, James Boring, Kathryn Haessner, Danielle Beltz, Macksi Warner, Nicole Fabian, Amy Dunn, Gracee Bulger-Oakley, Dee Dee Wurst, Mikaella McCrone, Molly Reagan and Jon Keefner.
The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, and open until 8 p.m. April 4 for First Friday.
