Cortland reports 1 new COVID case

Cortland County reported one new case of COVID-19 Monday, raising the number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began to 13,157, the state Health Department reports.

Tompkins and Cayuga counties reported 13 new cases Monday, the state reported. The three counties have seen 59,583 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. The number of people who have died from the virus remains 411.

  • One new COVID patients was admitted to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center on Friday, the state Health Department reported Sunday. The hospital had three COVID patients. The state Health Department reports 313,194 tests have been administered. The state has reported 134 deaths.

  • Tompkins County saw four new cases Monday, the state Health Department reported. The number of confirmed cases rose to 26,231. The state reports 3,069,833 tests have been administered. One hundred Tompkins residents have died.

  • Cayuga County saw nine new cases Monday, the state Health Department reported. Confirmed cases rose to 20,195. The state reports 406,019 tests have been administered, and 177 people have died.
