All six of Cortland golfers went below 50 and the Purple Tigers won their first match of the season 217-263 against Phoenix Thursday at Beaver Meadows Golf Club.
Finn Thomas led the way with a three-over 39. Garrick Ott and CJ Urtz each carded a 43, Koda Hubbard notched a 45, Owen Michaels shot a 47 and Cooper Cohen’s 48 was scratched.

Barrett Zogg topped the Eagles’ effort at Orchard Vali Golf Course Thursday with a 52. Riley Van Liew added a 53, Lucas Friedman and Ricky Osborne each shot a 54, Lance Johnson contributed a 55 and Thomas Lea’s 64 was scratched.
